Craft!
Although art may not be everyone's favourite, we encourage our learners to get creative and try their best.
We have made a courage jar for both staff and students. If anyone is feeling down – we all have those days – they can go to the courage jar and pick out a lollipop stick. On the lollipop sticks are different handmade messages by our learners in Squirrels. We hope that it brings many smiles to people's faces! You can find our courage jar near our prayer area.
In addition, we have created beautiful butterfly artwork with different coloured chalk! This was so cool to do and we were so satisfied when we smudged the chalk! We have also made our own handprint tree. We drew around our hand, painted it brown and used different coloured paint to decorate it. It was so much fun!
Furthermore, we have made nature faces! Our learners worked together to collect natural materials such as leaves and flowers to create a face on a piece of cardboard. It was so much fun to do and everyone showed kindness and resilience when making these. Well done! We have also used these materials to decorate our own paper hedgehogs!
Recently, we have discussed 'Pride' and why it is important. We know that it is okay to be different, we should celebrate each other and that we should all be proud of who we are. We have made Pride paper chains to show that we accept everybody for who they are.
Check out our amazing art work!
Well done everybody!
