Cooking!
Cooking can foster a love for healthy eating, it can develop life skills and it can boost children's confidence as they are encouraged to attempt tasks independently. For example, cutting fruit or spreading sauce. For younger children, cooking can help them develop their fine motor skills!
Every week, children who attend Squirrels are given the opportunity to handle food! For example, our children have made summer smoothies, bagel pizzas and apple nachos!
All allergies and intolerances are taken into account when we do these activities.
