School Uniform

School Uniform

The School Governors hope that you too will support the school’s image by ensuring that your child comes to school in uniform:

Uniform Requirements – Stickney Primary School

Royal blue sweatshirt or cardigan (School logo optional)

White polo shirt (School logo optional)

Grey trousers

Grey Skirt or pinafore dress

White socks

Smart, flat black shoes/boots

Plain blue, black or white headbands/bobbles

During the summer, plain grey shorts and blue and white gingham dresses may be worn.

Book bags are also available to purchase; however, there is no reason for children to bring large bags into school.

PE Kit

All children should have a change of clothing for PE as follows:

  • A plain white t-shirt or white t-shirt (School logo optional)
  • Black shorts
  • Plimsolls or Trainers as appropriate (not fashion trainers)
  • In football club, football boots and shin pads

KS2 children will need swimwear, a towel and comb/brush for swimming lessons.

Please clearly mark all items of clothing with your child’s name. Labels are available for order.

Health and Safety

There are several health and safety issues which inform our school policy; for these reasons the following apply:

  • For pierced ears only plain stud earrings (one per earlobe) which should be removed for PE. As a school we are not able to remove your child’s studs, this means that if your child is not able to remove their own studs these must be removed before the child comes to school on any day that your child is due to take part in physical activity.  If the earrings are unable to be removed the child may not be able to participate in the physical activity to prevent them from causing injury.
  • Skirts/Dresses should be no longer than mid-calf length as ankle length skirts can catch on chair legs.  They should be no shorter than an inch above the knee, to save the embarrassment of showing underwear when they sit cross legged on the carpet for activities such as circle time.
  • Children need to be safe whilst in the playground and therefore shoes should be flat.
